Ossington’s got the coolest mix of shops, bars and eateries — everything from Greek to Pan-Latin — but it’s been missing one thing: a true steakhouse. Enter Linny’s, the latest spot from the team behind some of Toronto’s top restaurants, stepping in to fill that gap with serious sizzle.
The team behind this new spot is the same group responsible for Sunnys Chinese, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, and Michelin-recommended Mimi. Their latest venture is a fusion of a classic steakhouse and an old-school deli, blending traditional steakhouse fare with the nostalgic comfort of deli favourites. It’s a place where timeless dishes like aged steaks meet hearty offerings like hand-cut pastrami, creating a unique dining experience that brings together the best of both worlds.

Guests can kick off the evening with bites like chicken liver toast, mushroom blintzes and fluke with fennel, all paired perfectly with a dirty martini and the smooth sounds of hard bop jazz.
Signature dishes at Linny’s include Shake n’ Bake chicken, roasted lamb neck and hand-cut pastrami, served simply with mustard and pickles.
Classic steakhouse staples — like aged beef seared in an overfired broiler and brushed with pastrami tallow butter — are complemented by unique sides such as beef karnatzel.

For dessert, warm babka brings a comforting close to the evening, rounding out a meal that feels like a delicious trip back in time.
