Although a summer getaway to Greece may not be on the horizon, there are plenty of ways to have a Greek vacation without ever leaving Toronto, including a Mamma Mia-inspired restaurant that’s coming to the city later this year.Â
Prepare to be whisked away to the enchanting island of Skopelos, where you can indulge in the delights of dancing, dining, and experiencing the time of your life! As night falls, you’ll find yourself seated at Nikos’ family-owned taverna, where guests will be served a mouth-watering three-course Mediterranean dinner that’s sure to make you feel like you’ve stepped onto a Greek island.
As you dine on delectable dishes, you will be serenaded by performers singing all the ABBA classics where you’ll be encouraged to sing along too!
Make sure to pack your dancing shoes because later in the evening, you can dance the night away at the ABBA disco.
If you’re not familiar with the 2008 smash hit, Mama Mia! the movie tells the tale of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads on a Greek island, all unfolding to the magic of ABBA’s timeless songs. Based on a play, the movie starred Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried and went on to earn US $611 million worldwide.
You’l need some Money, Money, Money because the theatrical dining experience will cost you $99 per person but at the end of the evening, you’ll be sure to say Thank you for the Music
The immersive dining experience will take place at a still to be announced venue on Church Street. Two shows per evening are set to take place from Friday November 10 to Sunday November 12 . Showtimes are at 5:30 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m.
