Augustina is a beautiful boutique in the heart of Yorkville, with fabulous bags for Toronto women.
I discovered this boutique years ago when the store was cozy and intimate. Now, in a larger open space, the boutique resembles a gallery with handbags as the works of art. The displays are open and clean, which makes finding your perfect bag a simple task.
I immediately fall in love with the leather bow clutch pictured above. It is one in a collection of handbags designed by the Augustina owners and comes in a rainbow of colours.
The leather is soft and the design is easily worn with both day and evening attire. It appeals to the practical woman in me — the one who knows that I rarely actually have the time to switch all my belongings from one purse to another.
Another beautiful clutch catches my eye. This one is satin with the most beautiful teal feather print on it, designed by Lauren Merkin. It’s a clutch that would add just the right amount of punch to the simplest of outfits. In contrast to the first clutch, this one appeals to an impractical playful side — the one that just wants to carry a spectacularly colourful piece.
Whether practical or not, Augustina is sure to have a handbag that appeals to you too.
