There are plenty of changes coming to the city! From Bayview to Queen West, find out what new restaurants, shops and studios are opening in your neighbourhood this season.
Eleventy is opening its first standalone Canadian store in Yorkville, making it the Italian luxury fashion brand’s only store in Canada. The shop will span 3,200 square feet and will feature the Milan-based brand’s high-quality pieces, ranging from men’s and women’s fashion to a children’s line and home goods. The new store will be located at 102 Bloor St. W.

Bellona Kitchen, a plant-forward Italian restaurant, has opened its doors in Little Italy. Featuring classic Italian dishes with both vegan and vegetarian options, you can try everything from Lasagna alla Mama to handcrafted pizzas and tiramisù. The restaurant also offers Bellona’s Cantina — a special three-course meal served in Bellona’s Upstairs Kitchen. You can visit the new eatery at 680 College St.
Smeg has opened its first standalone Canadian store at 2 Bloor St. W. The Italian luxury appliance brand’s retro showroom spans 3,700 square feet over two floors, showcasing Smeg’s sleek and colourful kitchen appliances. With international flagship stores already in London, Paris, Milan and more, Toronto joins the ranks of these high-profile cities with the new flagship, which is also said to feature a design consultation area.
Parpar Boutique has opened another location on Bloor Street West. The locally owned boutique, known for a fashion selection that is constantly being updated with new items, will fit right in on the strip of Bloor Street known for its variety of local shops and cafés. The neighbourhood was part of co-owner Stephanie Marer’s motivation for opening there. The team was looking for a walkable and locally oriented area much like the ones the boutique’s three other shops are located in. The new location, at 2300 Bloor St. W., should be open by early spring.

Buno Coffee has opened in Queen West. The specialty coffee shop at 1048 Queen St. W. — with its painted blue exterior, accents of blue throughout the space and wooden, minimalist seating and coffee bar — fits right into the neighbourhood. The café prioritizes offering a large variety of responsibly sourced coffee from local roasters in espresso, pour-over or drip options, as well as a selection of freshly baked goods.

Zafoon Middle Eastern Restaurant recently launched on College Street. Spearheaded by chef Abbas Wadi, the restaurant promises an authentic culinary experience with popular dishes that include chicken musakhan, moroccan chicken tagine and tepsi (a traditional Iraqi “casserole” dish). Zafoon is located at 384 College St.

Dogleg Left Golf is opening at Yonge and Eglinton, and it will be the perfect place to chase away the winter blues. Offering an advanced golf simulator experience, visitors to 250 Eglinton Ave. W. can enjoy instant swing feedback and access to world-class courses. Dogleg Left promises state-of-the-art simulators that will have you ready to hit the green running when spring comes around.

Nutbar is opening another location in Toronto, expanding its empire into midtown. Set to open soon at 2592 Yonge St., the café is known for colourful “superfood” smoothies and health-focused snacks. With a cult following that includes everyone from celebrities to socialites, the additional location is sure to attract new fans in the neighbourhood.
Ends Meet Bistro is coming to the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood soon! Though little is known about this new eatery, job postings for the bistro show the team is looking to hire an experienced chef for the restaurant. The new bistro will be opening at 228 Merton St.

Playdium has opened at CF Fairview Mall, and the new entertainment complex has filled 22,000 square feet with video games, bowling, classic arcade games and more. Visitors to the location can also win points from games and redeem them for prizes. The venue, located at 1800 Sheppard Ave. E., will also have private rooms for birthday parties or corporate events.
Dior, Saint Laurent and Moncler will be bringing a little more luxury to Yorkdale at 3401 Dufferin St. Set to open mid-2025, all three will be flagship stores in the mall’s new luxury wing. Dior’s shop, covering 10,700 square feet, will also include a Parfums Christian Dior boutique, and Saint Laurent’s flagship will span 11,000 square feet. Moncler will be relocating from Yorkdale’s old luxury wing to the new one in a 4,200-square-foot space.
NorthBoys has opened in the 905, bringing upscale boys’ clothing to Hillcrest Mall. The locally based retailer is focused on filling a niche for exclusively boys’ fashion in the Canadian market, offering everything from casual wear to formal suiting. The store can also do alterations, making it a one-stop shop. NorthBoys stocks a variety of trending brands, from Psycho Bunny to Diesel, at the new 9350 Yonge St. location.

Twilight Cafe is opening soon at Yonge and Eglinton, and the new location will offer the same board game fun to residents alongside an extensive menu that includes breakfast options, bubble waffles, specialty drinks and bubble tea. The new spot will launch soon at 2429 Yonge St.

A Tavola has opened its doors on the Danforth. A new addition to the 7 Numbers family, this combined pantry, butcher and kitchen is located behind their Danforth location and offers authentic Italian dishes, grab-and-go prepared meals and quality butcher meats. Their newly launched lunch menu features a “sangweech” list that includes a cubano and a meatball sub, as well as some bowls, sides and soups. Stop by the new shop at 307 Danforth Ave.
Revolver Pizza is bringing its famed wood-fired pies to St. Clair West! Now open at 968 St. Clair Ave., Revolver’s extensive menu includes a prosciutto pizza, a spicy sausage version and a classic margherita with fior di latte. Also on offer is one of the highest-rated gluten-free crusts in the city, as well as appetizers, wood-fired calzones and a dessert menu.

Homebody, a new lifestyle boutique, is opening on Bayview soon. The Oakville-based retailer is known for its collection of clothing, jewelry, footwear, accessories and home decor and furniture, all with a cosy and modern feel. The shop will feature brands including Leah Alexandra, Agolde, Citizens of Humanity and more. While an opening date hasn’t been confirmed yet, residents in the neighbourhood can expect the new shop to open at 1575 Bayview Ave. in the new year.
Wilsetti has launched in Forest Hill Village, bringing the best of an espresso bar, traditional pizzeria, French boulangerie and épicerie together for a uniquely Toronto culinary experience. With high-quality ingredients imported from Italy and sourced from local farms, the simple and classic menu offers pizza staples such as the Quattro Formaggi and a namesake Wilsetti pie with nduja sauce and stracciatella. You can visit the pizzeria at 396 Spadina Rd.
Ibushi will soon be launching in the Thornhill neighbourhood, offering a new omakase experience for residents. Not much is known about the new restaurant, but Ibushi promises a sushi experience like no other. The name could refer to the donabe smoker, a traditional Japanese clay pot that cooks and smokes food at the same time. The new sushi spot is set to open at 505 Hwy. 7 E., Unit 76, likely early in the new year.
