The L.A. Times once dubbed it “the progenitor of the haute cupcake craze,” and now Sprinkles Cupcakes, a bakery chain from Beverly Hills, is set to make its way to Toronto. But The Cupcake Shoppe doesn’t have to hold on to its hat just yet: details of the upcoming location are sketchy at best.
We got in touch with PR at Sprinkles and were only able to elicit the following information from them: “Sprinkles is very excited at the possibility of opening in Toronto and they are working hard to find the perfect location.”
Apparently, Toronto is just one stop on a Sprinkles world domination tour. According to its website, other locations are in the works for Vancouver, London and Tokyo, to name a few.
And if you’re wondering why anyone should care about cupcakes from Sprinkles, the answer is simple: Oprah digs them.
