Summer camp for grown-ups? It’s happening. Danielle Goldfinger, who also works as an event coordinator for The Stop, is organizing an adults-only camping getaway just in time to say farewell to the summer. From Sept. 6-8, 100 nature-loving Torontonians will escape the city smog by heading north to Camp Timberlane in the Haliburton Highlands.
Between canoeing and playing capture the flag, campers will sup on gourmet meals prepared by Toronto chefs, including Rossy Earle, Tom Brodi and Jason Cox. Oh, and did we mention that it has an open bar and that the cabins are co-ed? The weekend will set you back $300, but it is all-inclusive (save for transportation to the camp).
Since everything’s included at this bougie grown-up camp, we’re not expecting any Heavyweights-inspired camp anarchy, save perhaps when the “counsellors” try to corral guests into returning home.
