Fitness studios and gyms across the city have been closed since October, and with the weather warming up lots of residents are ready to take their workouts outside. Thankfully, Premier Doug Ford announced last week that outdoor fitness classes of up to 10 people can resume on Monday, March 29. Here are 10 studios that are offering everything from yoga in the park to spin classes and HIIT circuits.
Fit Factory Fitness

Fit Factory began offering outdoor classes last summer for its signature boot camp workouts. Classes are offered from Monday to Friday at 7 a.m., 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., and on weekends at 10 a.m. The classes last 45 minutes to an hour and focus on utilizing body weight or light equipment.

This fitness studio on Caledonia Road started parking lot workout sessions last summer with Sunday classes with eight people in each. Now with restrictions lifted once again, the team is offering outdoor classes once again. In each class participants are spaced eight feet apart, there is loud music and instructor-led workouts.
Primal Gym

Over in the east end, Primal Gym kicked off its outdoor bootcamp classes last summer with morning and evening sessions offered in their outdoor space. Now with restrictions lifted once again, they are back. This week’s schedule offers a 6 p.m. outdoor sweat session on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and a 7 a.m. bootcamp on Wednesday morning. The outdoor workout stations have been set up on artificial turf and each participant is assigned their own pieces of equipment that cannot be shared. Equipment will be sanitized between classes and participants are encouraged to wear latex gloves. There will be no access to the gym’s washrooms, showers or change rooms, but the building’s communal washroom is available for use if needed.
Sweat and Tonic

Sweat and Tonic is back with its Sweat in the Park workout classes which have grown to be very popular. The classes kick off this week and take place at Nathan Phillips Square, Ramsden Park and Little Norway Park. There are limited spots available per class with everyone spaced out six feet apart. Classes start at $20, but a 10-class credit is $150.
Pure Barre

Pure Barre is hosting pop-up classes this week at Trinity Bellwoods Park, just north of the tennis courts. The classes take place twice a week at 10 a.m. on Tuesday or 11 a.m. on Sunday. If you’re new to Pure Barre, you can purchase a single class or an outdoor class five-pack on their website. Classes are limited to nine participants and everyone must bring their own mat, weights and a mask of course.
Loft Cycle Club

Loft Cycle Club is bringing back its outdoor riding and lifting classes this week. The classes take place in the parking lot of the Estonian House at 958 Broadview Ave. and at Logan Green Field. There is a maximum of nine participants allowed in each class.
F45 Training

F45 Training is bringing together three of its studios in Toronto to offer its F45 track program once again. The downtown Toronto team is partnering with the Regent Park and Liberty Village locations to offer an outdoor workout schedule. The team is still working out the details and the schedule and have told members to look out for an email this week for updates on outdoor class announcements.
6ix Cycle

Queen Street West spin studio 6ix Cycle is hitting pause on its Instagram Live HIIT classes to make room for outdoor classes this week. The team is kicking it off with outdoor classes on Monday and Tuesday, and participants can register on their website.

Stay Gold Toronto at 124 Brock Ave. is resuming outdoor fitness classes starting Monday, March 29. The gym’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, and new members can contact the team through the website to chat about booking a tour, getting a membership or personal training services.

As of Monday, March 29, PHNX FitHouse classes will resume at their location at 725 Bathurst St. The classes offered will include circuit training, interval training and weight training. The studio is offering a two-week introductory offer for $79.
