Originating in Andong, South Korea, jjimdak is slow braised chicken cooked in a wok with a multitude of delicious Korean sides. At Ssangkye Braised Chicken House, they're serving jjimdak with dumplings, glass noodles and an assortment of vegetables in a variety of different homemade sauces. If you're looking for something more traditional, the signature black sauce is the way to go. Soy-based to make it sweeter, it's also less rich than its red sauce counterpart, really highlighting the flavours of the dish. If you like spicy, the signature gochujang-based red sauce is the way to go. Looking for something a little less traditional? Try the white cheese variety smothered in ooey gooey mozzarella.
