It’s not every day that a fashion icon decides to open a pizzeria.
But, that’s exactly what Joe Mimran (Joe Fresh, Club Monaco), and his business partner and respected hospitality veteran Tony Longo (Splendido, Centro, INK Entertainment Group) did, with the recent opening of Quadro Ristorante in the heart of Toronto’s Little Italy neighbourhood.
The sleek and sophisticated pizzeria is one of the area’s newest Italian spots, located at 577 College St. With indoor seating, a private dining space upstairs, and a hidden back patio that serves as a quiet escape from the bustling sidewalk, Quadro is a beautiful addition to a neighbourhood that’s steeped in tradition.
The Food
A 1,000-pound oven imported straight from Italy is responsible for creating a series of wonderful smells and deliciously charred, thin-crust pizzas, available in classic flavours like pepperoni, margherita, and funghi, as well as other intriguing flavours that you don’t find anywhere else.

Alongside pizza, Quadro has a variety of handmade pastas on the menu, all of which feature premium ingredients from Italy, as well as local suppliers. Classics like the cacio e pepe and spaghetti al pomodoro can be found, while other more gourmet variations are also on order.
There are also salads and shareable appetizers, including zucchini fritti, homemade meatballs, warmed mixed olives, and foccacia.

The Drinks
In true Italian fashion, Quadro has an impressive wine menu that includes a wide array of imported bottles from Italy.
Choose from a selection of light, medium, or full-bodied wines available by the glass or bottle, in red, white, or rose.
There’s also a signature cocktail list that includes classics like the Aperol Spritz, as well as more creative drinks that blend a series of liquors, syrups, and botanic notes.

The Space
Quadro Ristorante features a 3,300 sq. ft. total of combined indoor and outdoor dining space.

An additional second-floor event space with a private entrance is available for private parties of up to 60 guests.

Quadro’s doors are now open to the public from Tuesday-Sunday with kitchen hours set from 5:00pm to 10:30pm.
