About the Restaurant

Focusing on using the whole animal, Beast is advocating for sustainably grown and sourced meat and cooking it to perfection. Chef Scott Vivian's homey little spot on the corner of Tecumseth Street and Whitaker Avenue is trying to educate as much as feed the community. He wants to inspire more Torontonians to use the parts of the animal that one might often throw away. With the "whole animal dinner" catering option and menu items like bison tartar and pork hocks in kimchi, Beast is using the city's multicultural influences to inspire its meat-focused menu. Beast also serves up a mean brunch, with lines down the street most Saturdays and Sundays. Got a big group and looking for somewhere to get your brunch on? Beast serves its Ace Hill breakfast with a whole hog option for $30. It includes an assortment of hocks, sausages, pork belly and bacon and is meant to cure even the most beastly hangovers.
