You can take a tour around the Toronto Islands on a Hawaiian-style floating tiki bar

Dubbed “Toronto’s coolest boat cruise,” Palapa Tours invites you and your friends to chill around the Toronto Islands on a Hawaiian-style floating tiki bar!

You can book the boat privately for up to 12 people, perfect for birthdays, retirements, bachelor parties, weddings or just because — hello, tiki boat!

The masterminds behind this tropical lagoon escape had a pretty unique journey to success! In 2012, Ottawa natives Gaby Saucedo and Mike Karpishka pitched their idea on Dragons’ Den — yes, the Dragons! While they didn’t land a deal, according to the entrepreneurs, the exposure was worth over $125,000 in free advertising across Canada!

But the fun doesn’t stop in Canada! Along with Ottawa and Toronto, Palapa Tours’ floating Tiki Bars can also be found in Cancun and Huatulco, Mexico.

The magical cruise will see you gliding past the CN Tower while you snap shots of the city skyline, all while soaking in the lush landscape of Lake Ontario. The  knowledgeable and friendly crews who are passionate about Toronto’s waterfront and its landmarks who can offer fascinating insights and stories about the city’s history, architecture and culture. 

Tickets start at $60 for a 90-minute joyride around the islands. On the tour  you’ll find a selection of alcoholic bevvies ranging from $7 to $14 and non-alcoholic options from $4 to $8. Snacks are also available or you are free to bring your own food.
