Who needs eBay? Get a jet at T.O.’s Classic Car Auction

This year’s Classic Car Auction in Toronto will be a rather unusual one. In addition to finding an assortment of old and rare cars, prospective buyers will also have the chance to bid on a CT-114 Tutor jet aircraft. It was flown by the Snowbirds in the 1990s, and while it’s currently not operational, it could be air-worthy with a little bit of work. It’s expected to sell for around $50,000-$60,000 – well worth it in our opinion. Below, five reasons to buy the jet plane.

1. Despite the optimism of Back to the Future II, flying cars are taking way too long to catch on, and impatience is at an all-time high.

2. The jet comes with complete with logbooks, as well as maintenance and service records, which are probably way more fun than the jet itself.

3. The TTC sucks, gridlock is through the roof and Toronto cabs are simply too expensive.

4. With video games being so lifelike these days, you probably already know how to fly a jet anyway.

5. When Armageddon strikes next year and the world becomes The Road, anyone with a jet plane will have a clear tactical advantage.
