The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival officially kicks off today and that means celebrities will be strutting the red carpet at movie premieres as well as checking out local restaurants. This yearā€™s A-list is expected to include 700+ celebs, including actors, directors, musicians, and other notable figures in the entertainment industry.

Hereā€™s a list of 20 stars you can look out for this year:

Amy Adams

The six-time Academy-nominated actress returns to the festival this year for the World Premiere of the dark comedyĀ Nightbitch (premieres Sept. 7 at the Princess of Wales Theatre). Sheā€™s also set to receive the 2024 TIFF Tribute Performer Award at the sixth annualĀ TIFF Tribute Awards for her outstanding body of work in film. The awards will be held on Sept. 8 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, and although this event is invite-only, itā€™s a perfect area for celeb-watching!

Lupita Nyongā€™o

The stunning Oscar winner is the voice of Roz in The Wild Robot an animated film about a bot shipwrecked on an island that must adapt to its new surroundings (World premiere September 8, Roy Thomson Hall). The first screening is part of TIFFā€™s Gala Presentations, so there will likely be a red-carpet event! Adam Driver

Driver portrays a visionary architect whose utopian ambitions clash with the more earth-bound demands of a modern city in the North American premiere of Francis Ford Coppolaā€™s sci-fi drama Megalopolis. Selena Gomez

Youā€™ll likely catch a glimpse of the actress at the premiere of her movie Emilia PĆ©rez on Sept. 9 at the Princess of Wales Theatre. Sheā€™ll also be one of the presenters at the annual TIFF Tribute Awards at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Sept. 8.

Angelina Jolie

Jolie directed Without Blood, a parable-like flick about family, war, and revenge. It will premiere at the TIFF Lightbox on Sept. 8. Jolie will also be honoured with the TIFF Tribute Award in Impact Media at the Tribute Awards (Sept. 8., Fairmont Royal York Hotel).

Cate Blanchett

The two-time Academy Award-winning actress returns to the city as the recipient of the TIFF Share Her Journey Groundbreaker Award at the 2024 Tribute Awards (Sept. 8., Fairmont Royal York Hotel).
