Om T.O.

When: June 21
Where: The Distillery District, 55 Mill St.
Details: Tomorrow will see a full day of continuous outdoor yoga classes taking place to celebrate the summer solstice, which is not only the longest day of the year but also the first official day of summer. Participating studios include Moksha Yoga, Downward Dog Yoga Centre, Bikram Yoga Centre and more.


Open Roof Festival

When: June 20 – Aug. 22
Where: The Moonview Lot, 175 Queens Quay E.
Details: This outdoor music and film festival kicks off tonight with a rooftop concert by Juno-winning band The Sheepdogs followed by a screening of their documentary, The Sheepdogs Have At It. Other film screenings will include Spring Breakers and The Kings of Summer, and the festival will also feature a roster of other live music acts including Michael Rault and Lilly Mason.


Strange Brew

When: June 21
Where: Metropolis Factory, 50 Edwin Ave.
Details: This event will showcase beers from local breweries such as Steam Whistle, Indie Alehouse, Neustadt, Junction Craft Brewing and Bellwoods Brewery. Entertainment will be provided by Mysterion the Mind Reader, Dwayne Gretzky, Jumple and The Golden Dogs.


Toronto Jazz Festival

When: June 20-29
Where: Various locations
Details: This year’s annual festival includes performances by Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Eliane Elias, Mavis Staples, James Cotton and more. As one of North America’s premier jazz festivals, this is an event that hardcore jazz fans won’t want to miss.


Waterfront Festival

When: June 20-23
Where: Queen’s Quay from Lower Spadina Avenue to Lower Sherbourne Street
Details: Looks like there’s something exciting happening down by the water this weekend with a fleet of traditional tall ships sailing into Toronto Harbour. Paid tours of the ships will be available, and there will also be a parade, live music by Métis Fiddler Quartet, interactive theatre and kids’ activities.
