Two acclaimed Toronto chefs are coming together for a collaboration dinner

When you combine Gia‘s Matthew Ravenscroft and 1 Kitchen Toronto‘s Roland Torok-Ducharme, good things are bound to be cooking.

In this case, it’s a multi-course vegan tasting menu, complete with wine pairings. Gia has quickly garnered an impeccable reputation for being one of Toronto’s go-to destinations for plant-based dining, so the menu includes more of the locally-grown vegetarian and vegan dishes patrons have come to love from Ravenscroft and his team. The five courses offered include a mushroom paté and golden beets with melon, onion and nasturtium. There’s an omnivore add-on for each dish as well, alongside a selection of entirely vegan wines to pair with the food.

“This collaboration dinner highlights the synergies between both restaurants and its passion to highlight Ontario produce and plant-based foods,” reads the press release for the event. “The chefs’ commitment to creating gastronomic journeys is evident in this one-night celebration as it looks to serve delectable items such as a roasted celery root, black truffle, blueberry demi-glace and chanterelle dish.”
