Food and beverage retailer Aegis just purchased popular wing spot St. Louis Bar & Grill for a cool $50 million dollars. The company says that its intent is to continue to grow the brand across Canada and beyond.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome the brand, the employees and the franchisees of St. Louis into Aegis” said Steven Pelton, President and CEO of Aegis in a press release. “I admire the culture and vision of the brand and we intend to build-off what has been created.”

For the last thirty years, St, Louis Bar & Grill has been a well-known dining destination for bbq lovers recognized for its “devilishly good” food including signature wings, ribs and garlic dill sauce. First opening its doors in Toronto in 1992 at 2050 Yonge St., the company now operates 72 locations across four provinces and serves more than 2.2 million pounds of wings each year.

“St. Louis was born in Toronto but made in Canada. We have our roots here in Ontario. What makes us incredibly unique compared to anyone else in North America is our proprietary products. That’s our wings. They’re the best wings in Canada,” sad Royal Nasager St. Louis Bar & Grill’s VP of Marketing in a recent interview with Retail Insider.

And, if you want to know just how well the company has fared over the last thirty years, their projected earnings for 2023 is a whopping $7.6 million.
