Oscar de la Renta’s PR Girl at Holt Renfrew

Where: Holt Renfrew, 50 Bloor St. W.
When: April 2, 5:30 p.m.
Details: Erika Bearman is the public relations guru for one of fashion’s finest, Oscar de la Renta. Tonight, Lisa Tant, Holt Renfrew’s VP fashion editor, will host Bearman as she shares her thoughts on fashion, style, beauty and all things social. The discussion will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m., and Bearman will meet with her fans until 7.


Learn to Screen-print

Where: The Make Den, 1244 Bloor St. W.
When: April 4, 11 and 18, 6-9 p.m.
Details: This three-part series of classes will teach the basics of screen-printing, a.k.a. the art of making unique T-shirts, pillow cases, posters and more. The Make Den will provide muslin to print on, but feel free to bring your own fabric or paper. The three-class series runs at $179.


ION Magazine 10 Year Anniversary Party

Where: 918 Bathurst St.
When: April 5, 8 p.m. – Midnight
Details: Canadian magazine ION is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Join up-and-coming musician Robert DeLong to celebrate the decade of style, art, culture and music. Tickets are $10 online.


Behind the Seams at the Costume Institute

Where: The ROM, 100 Queens Park
When: April 5, 4-6 p.m.
Details: While most people just wear clothing, some work to preserve it. Join the ROM in welcoming Chris Paulocik, former conservator at The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Paulocik will discuss her experiences working with clothing from the Renaissance up to current runway collections.


Theory Event

Where: Holt Renfrew, 50 Bloor St. W.
When: April 5-7
Details: For those planning on browsing the Theory collection at Holt Renfrew for some new spring looks, there’s an event going on this weekend. Spend between $500 and $1,000 to receive a Theory T-shirt, or, if you’re feeling frisky, spend over $1,000 and receive a Theory leather clutch.


Antiques & Vintage Show

Where: The Grande Luxe, 3125 Bayview Ave.
When: April 7
Details: Old is gold, so take a minute to peruse the bevy of vintage clothing and accessories at the new antiques and vintage show at The Grande Luxe. Entry is $5 at the door.
