Last week at The White Space, The Bay’s Fashion Director, Suzanne Timmins, talked to media and customers alike through this season’s major trends. The colours, the references, the key pieces — she touched upon it all with runway images and models to demonstrate her points. While the presentation was most certainly informative in terms of determining new wardrobe choices, we couldn’t help but admire the ensemble on the woman herself.
Dressed classically in high-waisted black dress pants and a white shirt, the twist in her outfit was, most notably, the S&M-style black halter bra she wore underneath. That may sound a bit jarring to you, but let us assure you it was the epitome of chic, and the perfect way to reference one of this season’s biggest trends (yes, it’s sex!).
Don’t worry, you won’t have to go into a latex-filled shop to get your hands on one too. In fact, the bra is by MICHI, a Toronto-based label that describes its designs as a cross between glamorous lingerie and comfortable sportswear.
