Conspiracy Pizza has found their new home next door to Churnt Up at 856 Eglinton. Lavender Menace, a lesbian-owned, LGBTQ+ friendly restaurant and cocktail bar opens this weekend at 1062 Gerrard East. Think ’60s and ’70s vibes and Southern cuisine, including catfish banh mi po’ boy, fully loaded jambalaya, bacon and corn chowder plus tons of signature cocktails.

Oji Seichi is soft opening this weekend at 354 Broadview. The beloved Volo brand is expanding again; this time they’re taking over the lobby of Little Italy’s iconic Royal Cinema with a hybrid concession/bottle shop. The theatre is a stone’s throw from Volo’s specialty beer bar, Bierria Volo. Bar Volo said on Twitter that their “goal is to maintain & enhance the integrity of the theatre w. our food/drink offerings,” which will include beer, wine, and even grocery.

Millie Desserts will be operating two pops out of Oomomo’s Markham and North York locations this month. The French-Japanese fusion dessert shop will offer a specialty menu of crepe cakes, cream puffs, and popcorn, including their Instagram-worthy rainbow crepe cake with peaches and cream filling.
