It’s Thursday, and the long weekend is fast approaching. Need stuff to see or do? We’ve got you covered. In this edition, two music festivals, pro tennis action, dancing in Withrow Park and more.

Dusk Dances

When: July 30 to Aug. 4
Where: Withrow Park
Details: This outdoor dance festival will begin as dusk descends. A host will lead the audience through Withrow Park for a series of 10-minute dance performances from different choreographers.


Rogers Cup

When: Aug. 3-11
Where: Rexall Centre
Details: This year, Toronto hosts the women’s tournament. Can’t get to the Rexall Centre? The event will be broadcast across Canada, and so will the Rogers Cup men’s tournament, which will be held in Montreal.


VELD Music Fesival

When: Aug. 3-4
Where: Downsview Park
Details: Two days, 30-plus acts and a whole lot of electronic music. There will be performances by Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Dirty South, Steve Angello and more.


Artfest Toronto

When: August 3-5
Where: The Distillery District
Details: Sixy-five Canadian artists and artisans will show off their artwork in The Distillery District this weekend. Artwork on display will include handmade pottery, jewellery, paintings and more.


OVO Fest

When: Aug. 5
Where: Molson Amphitheatre
Details: This annual hip-hop/R&B music festival is back for its fourth year. Though it was recently scaled back from two days to one (due to Frank Ocean cancelling his scheduled performance), the festival still looks intense. On Monday night, Toronto’s own Drake will perform alongside Wale and James Blake.
