Toronto Comicon

Details: Comicon is one of the few times of the year when you can indulge in cosplay and not get sneered at. Not to be confused with the much larger Fan Expo Canada (held in August), Toronto Comicon is still a big draw for fans of comics, science fiction, horror and gaming, and it seems to be growing in popularity every year. This year’s main draw is the apperance of just about every major character from the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Drake General Store Warehouse Sale
When: March 9-10
Where: 442 Dufferin St.
Details: Drake General Store is having a warehouse sale this Saturday and Sunday (Friday is by invite only) with items at up to 70 per cent off. And if hipster clothing is not your cup of tea, there will also be salvaged furniture, random curiosities and a few Pendleton items sprinkled throughout.
Toronto Urban Photography Festival

Well, the Toronto Urban Photography Festival will show you how the professionals do it, with not just photographs of the skyline, but of life in general in and around our urban sprawl. You may never look at the city the same way again.
’90s Party: 90210 Edition

Where: The Annex Wreck Room
Details: If you like dressing up in ’90s clothing, hit up the The Annex Wreck Room for some good ol’ fashioned ’90s music, cheesy hairdos and $1 Brandon Walsh Jell-O shots. Bonus: there will be a photo booth on site to immortalize your trek back in time.
Rock-a-billy Shake-Up #8
