Afrofest

Afrofest is on from July 7-9 so prepare for a weekend full of incredible music! Happening at Woodbine Park, this festival is a celebration of African music and culture and is the largest free African music festival across North America. Celebrating its 35th year, Afrofest features genres of music that showcase African and Black culture, including Afrobeat, Afropop, Amapiano, Soukous, Makossa, Rai, Reggae and Rumba. Highlights from the three-day lineup include Temi and DJ Mike, both from Nigeria and Salatiel from Cameroon on Friday, DJ Flowmaster from Kenya and Clo Clo Claudel from Democratic Republic of the Congo on Saturday and GhCali from Ghana and TK Smooth from Zimbabwe on Sunday. Salsa on St. Clair

Get ready to move your feet this weekend! Salsa on St. Clair is back from July 8-9, which means you can put on your dancing shoes and dance all across St. Clair Avenue West between Winona Road and Christie Street all weekend long. This street festival is known as Canada’s hottest salsa party — enjoy a truly international selection of Latin music, authentic cuisine, and a fiesta for lovers of all Latino culture. The festival lineup includes Adis Rodriguez, Batucada Carioca, Ricky Franco and more! Plus, enjoy delicious eats from vendors including Panchos Bakery, Miami Grill and El Churrasco Ecuatoriano.
