topol sandwich

This midtown sandwich spot serves up massive, fully-loaded subs

Looking for a huge, sub-style sandwich for lunch or dinner? Topol Sandwich has you covered with massive submarines chock-full of fresh veggies, assorted meats and tangy sauces that taste great. And, they’re all 100% Halal, inspired by the bold flavours of Iran.

Topol Sandwich has been a mainstay in Richmond Hill and, back in 2020, opened its second location in North York. At both locations, patrons can grab a classic sandwich, like chicken, beef or mortadella, or try something new by selecting something from the hot sandwich menu. Try the Zapata, a sub with Angus beef steak, topped with freshly sliced mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, tomato, pickle, parsley, hickory sticks and house-made Topol sauce. Or, opt for the Bandari, a Persian sausage sub complete with all the fresh veggie fixings.

Topol also offers signature Bomb sandwiches, which are like a stuffed submarine. Bring a small group of friends and order the fan-favourite Bomb Lati. Retailing for $23.00, this humongous sandwich can feed two to three people and comes stuffed with a beef hotdog, shaved chicken, fried sausage and mozzarella cheese, with fresh veggies and hickory sticks for a salty-fresh crunch. Transport yourself to Iran by washing all of this food down with Istak, a non-alcoholic malt beverage that comes in peach, lemon and mint flavours. If sandwiches aren’t your thing, you can opt for different plates and bowls, like Topol’s Mexican Corn or its Sosis plate, piled high with Persian sausage and fries, and then smothered in cheese.

The family behind Topol Sandwich are industry veterans, running several restaurants across the GTA with over 15 years of food experience and no plans to slow down.

Amin, a representative from the spot, says expansion plans are definitely in the works. “We have plans to open spot in Newmarket and Mississauga since we’ve been receiving so many requests from our customers.”

If you’re local to the North York area, you can swing by the 8 Kingsdale Avenue eatery every day from 11:00a.m. to midnight for take-out, or order and cozy up inside the intimate, comfortable indoor dining space.
