Proving that it’s not just about granola, The Green Living Show, Canada’s largest green consumer show, is partnering with Fashion Takes Action for the first time to host the Emerging Designers Boutique, featuring eco-conscious, high-end clothing. The eco-fashion event takes place April 15-17 at Exhibition Place. Below, we highlight some of the designers who will be selling their eco-wears and where you can buy them after the event has come to a close.
Sarah Stevenson
A Toronto-based clothing and textile designer, Sarah’s clothing has been featured at Toronto’s LG Fashion Week and on The Marilyn Denis Show. All of her clothing and fabrics are made ethically and sustainably in Canada.

Device
Device by Melanie Ferrara was created for women who love high fashion but who are also conscious of environmental and social matters. We love the spring/summer 2011 collection which is inspired by, of all things, David Lynch’s moody Twin Peaks.

Miik
This lifestyle brand blends fashion, functionality and eco-sustainability. The spring line features colourful clothing made from bamboo. This Victoria dress has a Kate Middleton elegance to it without all the pomp and circumstance.

Nicole Bridger
Who says being eco-friendly means you can’t feel sophisticated and sexy? Not Nicole Bridger. Her Faith top is a perfect addition to your spring wardrobe.
