Summerlicious is back and the 2022 restaurant list has just been announced

Summerlicious is back in full effect this summer! Between August 12 and 28, over 200 restaurants in the Toronto area will be offering lunch or dinner pre-fixe menus for all to enjoy.

The festival has been on a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, so organizers and restaurants are returning full steam ahead. Participating restaurants offer their pre-fixe menus at six different price points, ranging from $20 lunches to $75 dinners.

Among the affordable luxury experiences offered, restaurants have also been sorted by their unique features. Some restaurants offer wholly vegan or vegetarian menus, while others are featured for their locally sourced menu options or their accessibility.

Just under 60 cuisines are represented across restaurants located in 28 different Toronto neighbourhoods. From Argentinian to Vietnamese, there’s undoubtedly a new dish for everyone!

The Summerlicious prices have been updated this year to offer pre-fixe lunch menus priced at $20, $27, $34, $41, $48 and $55, with dinner priced at $25, $35, $45, $55, $65 and $75.

In the heart of Yorkville’s offerings sits Sassafraz. This Canadian restaurant is set in an array of Victorian rowhouses, giving you a view that’s just as good as the food. Sassafraz offers vegetarian options among delicate meat dishes like duck pate and wild boar chops from Quebec. Their lunch menu is priced at $41, and dinner costs $55.

For those looking to have a full-fledged foodie experience, take your hard-earned money over to Z Bar & Grille in west Toronto for Jamaican food. The jerk chicken is cooked on a barrel drum, the brisket is slow smoked, the burgers are made in-house and everything is seasoned just right.

Their $27 lunch and $35 dinner menus include fan favourites like jamaican patties and jerk chicken. However, those looking to explore can get a taste of salt fish with festivals, oxtail and curry goat.

Fonda Lola is another great restaurant worth visiting. For $34 at lunch or $45 at dinner, you can experience Mexican flavours derived from locally sourced ingredients, creating healthy and tasty dishes.

For an appetizer, try the lime juice marinated fish in the ceviche or esquites, a classic street food including corn kernels with chipotle mayo, lime, cilantro and feta cheese. Next, enjoy a selection of chicken, pork or portobello mushroom tacos served with all the fixings. Finally, you can enjoy your choice of churros, vanilla ice cream or vanilla ice cream with a shot of espresso on top.

Reservations for Summerlicious will open on July 28 and can be made directly with your restaurant of choice.
