Rock Lobster Food Co. is coming to Ossington

Grab your bibs and let’s roll. Lobster roll, that is. The Star is reporting that Toronto Underground Market favourite Rock Lobster Food Co. has secured a location for a new restaurant on the Ossington strip. Owner Matt Dean Pettit intends to bring a variety of crustacean creations to the ’hood (think lobster poutine, lobster cappuccino and lobster mac ‘n’ cheese).

The 75-seater will be appropriately decked out with the likes of a rusty anchor, authentic marine lights and wooden traps. Pettit wants to keep lobster fun, without the pretentiousness. He ancitipates a price range of around $8 to $14 for the grub.

Pettit — who tells us that he hasn’t announced the exact address of the restaurant yet — hopes he can start rollin’ out his goods to the public by Dec. 1.
