
In 1957, Vince Gasparro moved from a small town in southeastern Italy to Toronto where, three years later, he continued his family’s tradition and opened up his own butcher shop. Vince Gasparro’s Meat Market has been thriving ever since. And for good reason: Vince Gasparro only gets the best, most humanely raised local beef, pork, lamb and chicken. Sausages, burgers and kebabs are also available and made following family recipes that have been passed down for generations. This family-owned and -operated business is a staple in the Christie Pits area, and the loud but warm welcome customers receive upon entering always brings a smile on their faces. In addition to the meats, Vince Gasparro’s also carries imported buffalo mozzarella, an extensive selection of De Cecco brand pastas, unfiltered olive oil, prime Parma prosciutto and free-range eggs.
