It’s no surprise that a Vancouver restaurant transplant in Toronto is a healthy, mostly plants, wellness-focussed place. It also is no surprise that it tastes pretty good considering the Toronto location is the chain’s seventh spot. Tractor Foods is located in Toronto’s bustling downtown core, and its menu is made with ethically sourced produce, fish and cage-free chickens. They have plenty of grab-and-go options and made-to-order sandwiches, but perhaps the most satiating are their power bowls — packed full of grains, greens and fresh produce — which come with two market sides, like kimchi or curried cauliflower. Order at the counter to go or to stay, but be sure to get something to wash it down, like a kombucha, which Tractor Foods has on tap, or a house-made blueberry mint lemonade.
