Italian is Italian, right? Absolutely not. This restaurant is here to share authentic and proud Italian cuisine with Toronto through their scratch-made pastas and Romano pizzas. Tosto means “determined” and “no nonsense,” and when it comes to homemade, there’s no nonsense here. The pasta noodles are mixed and extruded daily to complement the fresh toppings, even for meals as simple as a spaghetti and meatballs (polpette). Tosto’s handcrafted pizzas are mixed, stretched, needed and baked in-house, making for a light and airy crust with a crispy bottom. Then, the cooked pizzas are topped with generous amounts of classic toppings including the customer-favourite, mushroom and truffle pizza.
