Superfly

Parkdale's Superfly is bringing the funk and soul with flavourful food and drink. The space is set up as an homage to New York City in the 1970s, with a fish scale bar and geometric patterns on a tiled ceiling, and Grey North Design's signature faux leafy look ties the sepia-toned space together. The kitchen is pumping out small and sharing plates that feature seasonal ingredients and elevate classics like chef John Koplimae's potato gratin that comes with melty flame-torched brie cheese, brown butter, caramelized onions and gherkins. Superfly has plenty of local beers available on tap or in a bottle and a concise wine list, but the specialty drink has to be one of the five spritzes with concoctions that include the "drunk text" made from sherry, peach liquor, coffee vermouth and bubbles. Enjoy the year-round patio that is bumping everyone's favourite, old school soul and funk tunes.
