Que Ling is literally a hidden gem. Tucked away on a side street off Gerrard and Broadview you might assume it’s another run-of-the-mill Vietnamese spot. While all the usual suspects you’d expect to find are all here – pho, vermicelli bowls and rice dishes, you’ll want to opt for the bun rieu, a seafood tomato soup noodle dish that is a little tart and bursting with vibrant flavour. Another speciality here is the bun cuon, steamed rice noodle rolls filled with meat that are delicious on their own or with fish sauce. And while not a listed menu item, they also do delicious pork steamed buns with a quail egg that is a great grab and go snack or the next morning’s breakfast.
