“It’s pronounced pee jo,” is written across the top of website for Pigot’s Burger Club, but you’d know that if you’ve been following award-winning Chef Mike Pigot. Now, the Calgary-based chef’s burgers are in Toronto, and they’ve brought all their delicious toppings with them. That includes the favourite buttermilk onion rings and Pigot’s Secret Sauce. Each custom-ground beretta beef patty is sandwiched between a butter-toasted potato bun and served with a side, including the option of greasy fried tater tots. The Dirty Tots are a fan favourite, topped with vegetables, the secret sauce, and a Mexican cheese sauce. For “non-meat-a-tarians,” Pigot’s Burger Club offers plenty of topped Impossible burgers (seasoned with Pigot’s custom spice blend, of course), including a gooey mushroom cheese burger. These burgers are the definition of comfort food.
