This family restaurant is all about bringing people together over patties and pot pies. The pun in the name comes from Chef Peter Pham, who spent years working alongside well-known chefs in Hong Kong after learning to love food in the restaurant his mother owned in Montreal. Once back in Canada, Pham spent time perfecting a crispy and delicious patty recipe to celebrate his favourite after-school snacks as a teenager. These homemade patties are crispy, flaky and seasoned with a specialty spice mix. This East York restaurant offers patty fillings in varying spice levels and even offers a vegan option, available in quantity packs of a dozen, half-dozen or snack-packs of three. Pot pie fillings include chicken and beef short rib and come in a “phamily” or, if you’re not up for sharing, a personal size.
