One Night Only Pizza will have you feeling nostalgic for your childhood pizza parties. Inspired by his mother’s homemade pizzas, Luke Pollard perfected a recipe to share with a group of friends every Friday night. When the COVID-19 pandemic prevented him from hosting the parties, Pollard started giving out the pies from his back porch each week. The immediate success of this back porch pizza business has grown into a brick-and-mortar location in Riverdale. With dough made from 100 per cent organic Canadian flour that has been fermented for 72 hours, ONO makes its products in-house and uses local and Canadian ingredients. As an homage to the restaurant’s origins, the new joint is decorated with a black-tiled bar to mirror Pollard’s home kitchen. Despite its name, the restaurant is now open more than once a week and offers 16” pizzas on a menu that is constantly being updated.
