Amongst its illustrious neighbours, like La Palma, Queen Margherita and Jen Agg’s Cocktail Bar, Montauk still manages to stand out. The crafty cocktail menu is detailed every night by the resident bartenders. Each night someone comes in and shakes up the menu, adding their own flare to the already existing libations. If this isn’t a recipe for fun, I don’t know what is. In the dimly lit bar, the cocktail names can be found scratched onto a long rectangular chalkboard near the door. Sitting at one of the small tables near the window is the perfect place to watch as the bartender pours from the bottles that are tucked into wooden shelves on the wall. The music here keeps to the vibe of this Dundas West bar and always draws a crowd in the evenings.
