About the Restaurant

Library Bar is the upscale casual high-tea spot and bar located right on the first floor of the iconic Royal York hotel. Since its opening 90 years ago, the Royal York has been serving afternoon high tea, and Library Bar has deliciously carried on this tradition with eats like a mini key lime tart, smoked steelhead gravlax finger sandwiches and the coconut macarons made from the original 1929 recipe. When the afternoon turns into evening, they serve up fine dining options with a global culinary influence, using sustainably farmed fish in addition to offering plenty of vegetarian and dairy- and gluten-free options. The bar boasts a whisky library that is stocked with rare and fine single malt whiskies mixed in Canada, Scotland, Ireland and the U.S.A. Whisky flights are encouraged, but with such great proximity to Toronto City Airport, they are not encouraged if you have to take an actual flight.
