Just to the side of the central exhibition space at Northern Contemporary, a gallery that specializes in local illustration artists, Koffee Kween rests on a throne of meme-inspired coffee culture. Offering the usual gamut of coffee beverages like flat whites, cappuccinos and lattes, they also make the trendier matcha and chai tea lattes. Of course, it has all different types of dairy and non-dairy milk options for the sensitive tummies and vegans alike. All beverages pair nicely with one of Koffee Kween's baked goods, some of which are made by hand by the staff of Koffee Kween/Northern Contemporary, but most come from independent bakeries in the surrounding area.
