Taste a mother's love in every bite from Jack and Lil's. The open kitchen was founded by the mother-and-son team of Lauren and Dan, the latter with professional culinary experience and the former with a sharp eye for style and fusing influences. The original Jack and Lil, Lauren's parents, were South African, and much of the restaurant's cuisine is based in that tradition. They were also big travellers, and worldly influences are apparent on the menu. Nevertheless, everything is created with the same joyful and healthy approach Jack and Lil had to life. Save for long weekends, this spot is open for Sunday brunch wherein diners come in and pick from all the offerings on the harvest table. Otherwise, they focus on catering and other private dining events and offers cooking classes.
