This old-style Chinese restaurant is known all over Toronto for its crispy pork and classic Hong Kong cuisine. Ho Ho BBQ is a Scarborough native that has been serving up some of the best crispy duck and pork for decades. This no muss, no fuss establishment looks pretty shabby from the outside. The entranceway marked with the same red sign as its neighbour might be a little confusing, but once you step into Ho Ho BBQ, you'll know you're in the right place. Glazed ducks hanging behind the counter and the sound of the chefs chopping away will get you excited for your turn to order. The menu is filled with Chinese barbecue classics, but the real star is the roast pork, which is double cooked to perfection. If you catch the chefs on a day with crabs in-house, then you're in for a treat, as their fried crabs are simply to die for.
