Barber shops that offer an array of accoutrements while you’re getting coiffed is all the rage these days, but Hastings Snack Bar isn’t quite that. Nearby Hastings Barber Shop owner Ania Garbos snatched up this spot and enlisted her mom as chef after its previous owner of 50+ years decided to retire. So a change in ownership and a few tweaks to the interiors later, the namesake lives on. The corner spot is a coffee shop on most days, with a chalkboard menu of Polish eats such as cabbage rolls and pierogies from Thursday to Sunday. The quaint spot has a long countertop lined with bar stools for seating, reminiscent of an old school diner.
