About the Restaurant

Walk into Dee Thai and immediately feel the ethereal glow of Sita, the avatar of Hindu goddess Lakshmi, hanging on the large canvas mural by the bar. With colourful booths and wallpaper decorated with roses and parrots, this modern and elegant space invites you in all the way from the corner of Yonge and Eg. After Shanee on College Street started to become successful, the owners decided to open up another spot near the new and improved Yonge and Eglinton walking stretch. Dee Thai features some items from its sister restaurant, like the to-die-for cheese bites with a tom yom sauce, but is also becoming popular for its jim jaew. Served with different proteins, this notoriously spicy dish is toned down at Dee in order to give its guests a chance to enjoy the rich and delicious flavours. Expect large portions too. Dee is known to not let any of its guests go hungry.
