As night turns to morning, the Ritz Bar shifts from a bar to a café. Appropriately named Ritz Bar Café, the coffee shop is intended to make the most out of the lobby-adjacent lounge spot that caters to the hotel’s suit-and-tie crowd. Nestled just beneath Toca, the hotel’s main dining establishment, the café has a roomy, open vibe with an impressive chandelier and an expansive bar setup. They have a nice assortment of in-house pastries including biscotti ($2), and the ever-popular yogurt parfait ($3.75). Ritz also has the usual ham and cheese or tomato, mozzarella pesto paninis for lunch ($7). The main focus, however, is on the espresso, and for that Ritz went to Pilot, a Toronto-based roaster.
