About the Restaurant

Amanda Gatien and Amber Farrell, the respective owner and chef, conceived of City Betty as a way to celebrate the bicoastal cuisines of California and New York while maintaining farm-to-table principles. The menu is dependent on which out of the seven micro-seasons is happening, to ensure the use of sustainable and local ingredients to create a truly delicious dish, like the Fogo frito plate of deep-fried cod cheeks, artichokes, oysters and Meyer lemon wheels served with edamame aรฏoli. Be welcomed in by airy interiors and murals by artist Kenny Baird, and if you are lucky enough, snag a seat at the table directly across from the bar, nicknamed "the Lookout," where chef Farrell is rumoured to serve tasting menus from in the future. They also do brunch, dessert and have a cocktail series based on the zodiac to help suss out a bad date.
