The authentic Chinese restaurant with a French name, C'est Bon, has been not just a staple, but a favourite of midtown for over a decade. The founding Chen family comes from a French Taiwanese background, hence the name and cuisine of the restaurant. Most of the menu is made up of classic Szechuan dishes, like the spicy manchu fried rice, and a small, but exciting, percentage of classic Thai dishes such as green curry or pad thai. The newly renovated dining room is elegant yet comfortable; the space is adorned with orchids and traditional Chinese lanterns in a variety of colours. Look for its iconic red sign when you're on Yonge Street and stop in for a meal, or take it to go.
