After remaking the original Café Boulud in time for TIFF 2015, superstar French chef Daniel Boulud has created a real gem within the Toronto food scene. The cuisine now is classic bistro with a luxurious twist. There’s plenty of fresh flavours (the duck confit features polenta, charred spring onion, gremolata, swiss chard and breakfast radishes ) and nods to Toronto (the quenelle de brochette is made with Ontario-sourced pike.) In short, the rethink worked and Café Boulud is in a class by itself.
