Brownes Bistro is opening a second location and bringing something new to the table.
The owners — also known as the Jacob brothers — of the sophisticated French bistro are taking over the former Terroni location, near Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue.
But Bennett Jacob, co-owner and chef, says they’ll focus on classic Italian food instead.
The fare with a focus on pizza and pasta will be reasonably priced, says Jacob, generally less that $20 for an entrée. Both brothers have experience in higher-end cuisine but are aiming for a more relaxed atmosphere for Brownes’ latest project.
They hope to open in the first week of January 2011.
