After spending eight years building the Pink Tartan label, Kimberly Newport-Mimran is finally launching a flagship store in Yorkville.

Until now, Pink Tartan was only sold by other retailers, such as Holt Renfrew, Andrew’s, and The Bay, in Toronto, and at high-end department stores in the U.S. and abroad.

"The louder and the stronger the brand voice is, the more successful it’s going to be in all the markets we’re in," Newport-Mimran told the CBC in an interview Friday.

She is married to Joe Mimran, the founder of Club Monaco, and the man behind the frugal but fashionable clothing line Joe Fresh Style.

The new store officially opens on Saturday.
