Whether you’re a baseball fan or not, there’s probably no one as entertaining or head-scratchingly bizarre to follow on Twitter right now than Jose Canseco. Last week, the former slugger took to his favourite social network to declare his plans to run against Rob Ford in a potential by-election. Even though he has admitted he can’t run due to his American citizenship, he continues to campaign via his Twitter hashtag, #yeswecanseco.
Below, our roundup of our favourite Canseco tweets over the last week. We particularly like when he refers to Ford as “Rod,” as well as his instant patriotism (he refers to Toronto as “we” and is quick to offer to play for both the Jays and the Leafs). He is inexplicably missing a second point to his four ways on how to become an “Instant Canadian,” but that’s precisely why we lub the louse. And when he says he completes us, well, it’s almost as good as when Jerry Maguire first said it. Almost.
