One of Toronto’s hottest doughnut brands, COPS, is heading to New York City. Known for its inventive treats and striking pink storefronts, COPS is set to bring its unique blend of art and flavour to the Big Apple.
Owner Alex White announced the news on Instagram with a typically inventive launch video featuring a car on fire and, of course, some stuntmen.

“Since the beginning, it’s been a dream of ours to open in New York City,” the post read. “This will be a lifetime achievement and milestone for myself and our team *sheds tear*”
Born from the playful stereotype that cops can’t resist doughnuts, COPS has transformed from this clever concept into a global sensation. Merging high fashion with gourmet treats, now, New Yorkers are about to get their own taste of the inventive, delicious magic that made them a legend back home.
The New York outpost located in the West Village at 10 Morton St., promises be just as eye-catching as its Toronto locations, blending the city’s edgy vibe with COPS’ distinctive style. Look for retro-futuristic designs and bold pinks and metallics that define the brand.
In honour of the New York opening, COPS is launching a limited-edition “See You Soon” glaze drop, available for one week only at all Toronto locations. The collection kicks off with the Turon glaze, featuring jackfruit jam, banana, and jackfruit crumble, inspired by the Filipino dessert Turon — deep-fried spring rolls filled with plantain and jackfruit, then caramelized. This special glaze will also make its debut at the grand opening in NYC.
