New Yorkville hot spot opens up just in time for TIFF

Crème Brasserie has opened its doors in Yorkville.

“We’re offering French-inspired cuisine with a Mediterranean twist,” says co-owner Ricardo Sousa, whose culinary resumé includes stints at Lolo, Jump, Prego and Bistro 990.

Sousa’s partner, Ricardo Roque, brings kitchen experience at Magna Golf Club, Black and Blue and Bistro 990 (yes, where the two Ricardos worked together) to Crème Brasserie’s tables.

“We’ve worked downtown in the industry for years,” says Sousa. “It was always our dream to open a place in Yorkville. Now here we are.”

Crème Brasserie is located at 162 Cumberland St., 416-962-7363
